You can add a note to the application by following these steps. Applicant can not see the notes you add. 

1. Click on Application

2. Click on Actions
   1. 
3. Click on Add Note
   1. 
4. Type in note
   1. 
5. Click Send
   1. 
6. Note will be reflected on the Activity Feed
